Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function and play a key role in shaping our workplace culture. As the organization's primary HR resource, you will partner with leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent while providing hands-on support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and employee development.
This is a 1-year temporary position with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role based on business needs and performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven HR professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on HR operations and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in a growing, innovative, and technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer preparation.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Monitor turnover, recruitment metrics, and workforce trends to support business objectives.
- Administer employee compensation programs and benefits plans.
- Coordinate annual salary reviews and compensation benchmarking activities.
- Liaise with benefits providers and resolve employee benefit inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, workplace regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Monitor legislative changes and recommend policy updates as needed.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
- Support leadership development and employee skill-building initiatives.
- Maintain training records and compliance certifications.
- Maintain employee records related to compensation, leave, and employment status changes.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related updates, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and leave information.
- Track and reconcile vacation, sick leave, and other absences for payroll purposes
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee and manager concerns.
- Support employee engagement, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance on workplace policies and employment-related matters.
- Conduct investigations and support disciplinary and corrective action processes as required.
- Manage HRIS, employee files, and confidential records.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.
- Administer leave management, attendance tracking, and related programs
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- CPHR Designation (or working towards).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in progressively responsible HR roles.
- Strong leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing multiple HR disciplines independently
- Experience with performance management and investigations.
- Experience recruiting for technical positions within industrial automation, engineering, development or related industries.
